I have spent my time telling him to fight against the system - he is a delight but I wish I had schooled him myself. Don't underestimate what you have, you will make the connections. Above all though, Nora, do what you feel is right - you are their mother and it has to be right for you all. You don't loose them when they go into mainstream, it just changes. I encouraged my boy to question, to hold his own - I think he is a wonderful child.
